Spanish giants Real Madrid are closing in on a deal to sign Ghanaian youngster Oscar Naasei Obeng on a permanent basis.
According to AS, the prodigy, born on February 24, 2005, in Accra, is set to join Castilla under coach Julian López de Lerma.
Naasei, contracted to Granada until 2028, has been a Real Madrid target since last season. Negotiations have accelerated in recent weeks, with the deal expected to be finalized on August 27, 2026. The Spanish giants have fended off fierce competition from other clubs, including Rayo Vallecano, to secure the signing.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian brings physical strength and versatility, capable of playing both at centre-back and right-back, offering his new club valuable tactical flexibility.
Naasei joined the Granada academy in 2023 from Ghanaian side Emmanuel FC, where he impressed coaching officials and subsequently earned promotion to the first team.
Granada coach Pacheta, who witnessed the youngster’s exploits, gave him playing opportunities against Real Oviedo and Real Mallorca in La Liga, where he showcased his potential and attracted interest from several clubs.
The versatile defender will now join Real Madrid’s Castilla ranks as the club looks to replace departed players, a move that has generated millions of pounds in transfer revenue.
