$50,800 and GH¢85,000: Here’s how much ‘Powder Man’ allegedly took from victims

The allegations against popular Black Stars supporter Kailani Ibrahim Kpa, popularly known as “Powder Man,” have taken a more serious turn after some of the alleged victims came forward to recount how much money they lost. Nine individuals have reportedly told their stories, with the amounts involved running into tens of thousands of dollars. The figures disclosed by the alleged victims include $2,000, $9,000, $2,500, $8,500, $8,500, $9,200, $9,000 and $2,100, while another victim reportedly paid GH¢85,000. In total, the dollar payments alone amount to $50,800, with the additional GH¢85,000 payment bringing the reported sums even higher. Popular Black Stars' ‘Powder Man’ fan arrested over alleged visa fraud The victims allegedly paid the money after Kpa promised to assist them with travel arrangements to countries including the United States, Canada and Nicaragua. One man described the personal sacrifices he made in an attempt to secure the promised opportunity, saying he even sold his vehicle to raise the money. “I told him my wife was pregnant. I even sold my car to give it to him,” he said. The accounts have emerged following Kpa’s arrest by the Ghana Police Service’s Documentation and Visa Fraud Unit.
