‘I want to be the best goalkeeper at Asante Kotoko’ - Abdelwadie Mourad

New Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Abdelwadie Mourad has expressed his determination to make a strong impact at the club following his move to the Ghanaian giants.

The Moroccan goalkeeper, who recently signed for the Porcupine Warriors, says the club’s rich history and ambition influenced his decision to join.

Speaking for the first time since completing his move, Mourad described Asante Kotoko as the biggest club in Ghana and said he is eager to become part of its history.

“Who doesn’t know Asante Kotoko? It is the biggest club in Ghana. It has a lot of stories, and I want to be part of this club,” he said.

The 22-year-old says he is working hard to earn the trust of the club and its supporters, while setting his sights on becoming the club’s top goalkeeper.

“I’m giving my best to let the team trust me. I wish to be the best goalkeeper in this club,” he added.

Mourad also highlighted the club’s ambitions as another major reason behind his decision to join, insisting he wants to contribute to Kotoko’s pursuit of greater success.

“This club’s ambition is to do more. So that’s why I chose this club,”he stated.
