‘Legitimate certificate’ proves Bishop Obinim married Florence in 2004 - Report

Leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim’s claim that the marriage certificate he gave his now-estranged wife, gospel musician Florence, was forged has been challenged by reports of an official document showing that their marriage is recorded at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). According to the reports, Bishop Daniel Obinim married the gospel musician on April 24, 2004, in a ceremony documented at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). Reports by Gossip 24 TV indicate that the marriage document bears the names of Kwadwo Bonsu Obinim, the father of Bishop Daniel Obinim, and Nana Kwabena Siaw, the father of gospel musician Florence, as witnesses to the marriage. The document is reportedly part of the marriage records at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, suggesting that there is an official record of a marriage between Bishop Daniel Obinim and Florence Agyeiwaa, now known as Florence Obinim. The development comes after Bishop Obinim reportedly disputed the validity of the marriage certificate in Florence's possession, insisting that he did not marry Florence in court and warning her against presenting the document as evidence of their marriage. ‘Our marriage certificate is fake’ - Bishop Obinim tells ex-wife in leaked audio In a leaked audio message, Bishop Obinim claimed that the marriage certificate was forged and cautioned Florence against taking it to court. “I didn't marry you in court, so if you are thinking that we married in court, I am sorry. So the marriage certificate in your possession isn't original. If you take that marriage certificate to court, I will personally call the Ghana Police Service on you,” he said. Meanwhile, gospel musician Florence has returned drinks to Bishop Obinim’s family, an act which, in Ghanaian tradition, can signify an intention to end a marriage or a relationship between families. Bishop Obinim has also confirmed that his family received the drinks returned by Florence. The development comes amid an increasingly public dispute between the two, with Bishop Obinim making a series of allegations and comments about his estranged wife, while Florence has largely refrained from openly responding to the issues. In one of his recent outbursts, Bishop Obinim expressed relief over the situation and made strong allegations against Florence. “I thank God that he has taken me away from a devil like you.
