Here’s a look inside their expensive collections.
1. Osei Kwame Despite
Media mogul Osei Kwame Despite arguably owns Ghana’s most famous private car collection.
His garage, which has become both a tourist attraction and an automobile museum, hosts about 10 high‑end luxury vehicles: a mix of ultra‑modern classics and old‑school catalogues.
Some of the standout cars include:
Bugatti Chiron – Around $3 million. One of the world’s fastest production cars , with an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,500 horsepower.
Reports suggest he became one of only a handful of Africans to own one.
Tesla Cybertruck (Foundation Series) – Purchased shortly after its release, making headlines as one of the first in Ghana.

Businessman Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong has admitted that his love for luxury cars began after becoming close friends with Osei Kwame Despite.
He has also revealed that he owns about 20 personal cars, with Bentley being his favourite brand.
His collection reportedly includes:
Rolls-Royce Cullinan – Starting around $400,000.
Maybach Landaulet – An ultra-rare limited-production luxury limousine worth well over $1 million, depending on specification.
Bentley Continental GT – Around $250,000.
Bentley Bentayga – Approximately $220,000.
Audi R8 – Roughly $170,000.

CEO of Engineers & Planners, Ibrahim Mahama has built a reputation for owning high-performance sports cars, luxury SUVs, and private aircraft.
Unlike some collectors who focus on vintage automobiles, his garage leans heavily toward modern supercars and bespoke luxury vehicles.

Lamborghini Aventador SV (Superveloce) – Estimated between $400,000 and $550,000. Limited to 600 coupe units worldwide, making it one of Lamborghini’s rarest V12 models. Reports describe his type as one of the few, if not the only, privately owned examples in West Africa.
Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series – Around $350,000–$400,000. Limited production, powered by a 720-horsepower twin-turbo V8.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class (2023 G-Wagon) – Estimated $180,000–$250,000, depending on specification.
Mercedes-Benz Brabus 6x6 – A highly exclusive six-wheel-drive off-roader valued at over $1 million, produced in very limited numbers by Brabus.
Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Xtreme Edition – Reportedly valued at over GH¢8 million, featuring armored and premium off-road specifications.
He owns several other cars that we are not privy to at the time of this report.
Ibrahim Mahama is also publicly known to own private jets under the “Dzata” brand.
Most recently, he acquired a Bombardier Global 6500, an ultra-long-range business jet valued at approximately $56 million, adding to his existing aviation fleet.
