Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has offered advice to small food vendors operating along Ghana’s streets on how they can improve and expand their businesses.
In a post shared on X on September 16, 2026, Sarkodie noted that roadside food vendors have the potential to transform their businesses into bigger and more successful ventures.
According to the rapper, poor hygiene is one of the factors hindering such transformation.

He explained that if roadside food vendors take hygiene more seriously by wearing gloves, nose masks and hair caps, among other protective items, they could see a positive transformation in their businesses.
“Only if roadside food vendors knew how much of a difference it would make in their sales if they took hygiene a bit more seriously.
“Simple things like gloves, nose masks, hair caps, etc. would go a long way and boost sales significantly,” he said.
