‘You will be arrested’ - Kwaku Manu drags Bishop Obinim over fake marriage certificate saga

Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has sent a word of caution to the General Overseer of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, following the latter's recent controversies surrounding his marriage. For the past few weeks, Bishop Daniel Obinim and his ex‑wife, Florence Obinim, have dominated conversations after confirming that their two‑decade‑long marriage has officially come to an end. Following the announcement, Bishop Obinim, in an audio message sent to his ex-wife, claimed that their marriage certificate was fake and warned that he would not hesitate to seek her arrest if she attempts to use it as evidence to claim his property. ‘Our marriage certificate is fake’ - Bishop Obinim tells ex-wife in leaked audio “I didn't marry you in court, so if you are thinking that we married in court, I am sorry. So the marriage certificate in your possession isn't original. If you take that marriage certificate to court, I will personally call the Ghana Police Service on you,” Obinim said. In a recent development, Kwaku Manu, in a discussion shared on YouTube and monitored by GhanaWeb, noted that the Police would rather arrest Obinim and not his ex-wife. He explained that Bishop Obinim would be questioned because he was the one who handed the certificate to the gospel musician. “Obinim's mistake was saying that he would ensure his former wife is arrested if she takes the certificate to court because that isn't an original certificate. I want to make him aware that he will be the first person to be arrested. “Maybe Florence Obinim will be set free. Per my wisdom, he could have waited for her to take it to court, and he could make a case out of it,” he said. Kwaku Manu also noted that Bishop Obinim made a mistake by threatening Florence in the leaked audio. You have given your former wife a weapon because I think you have made a very serious mistake. “Everything he said in the audio was childish. They were irrelevant.
