The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held its National Delegates Conference on October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, as the party took another major step in its reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections. More than 7,000 delegates from across the country participated in the conference to elect a new set of national executives who will lead the party during the next phase of its political organisation. Below is the full list of winners from the elections: John Boadu – National Chairman John Boadu has been elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the party’s National Delegates Conference. Boadu secured 2,888 votes to emerge as the party’s new National Chairman. He will lead a new team of national executives elected by delegates to steer the affairs of the party. Justin Frimpong Kodua – General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua retained his position as General Secretary after securing 4,486 votes. Daniel Titus Glover – National Organiser Daniel Titus Glover was elected National Organiser with 2,964 votes. Alfred Kwajo Thompson – National Treasurer Alfred Kwajo Thompson was elected National Treasurer after securing 2,243 votes. National Vice Chairpersons Three National Vice Chairpersons were elected from a field of 13 candidates. Kojo Fosu was elected First Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye was elected Second Vice Chairman, while Nana Akomea was elected Third Vice Chairman. Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye – National Communications Director Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected National Communications Director unopposed. Abanga Yakubu Fuseni – National Youth Organiser Abanga Yakubu Fuseni emerged as the National Youth Organiser. Hawa Koomson – National Women’s Organiser Former Awutu Senya East MP Hawa Koomson was elected National Women’s Organiser. Mohammed Ali Suraj – National Nasara Organiser Mohammed Ali Suraj won the National Nasara Organiser position. He secured 372 votes, compared with 311 votes for Salim Mansuru Bamba and 106 votes for Awal Mohammed. The elections have produced a new national executive line-up tasked with leading the NPP’s organisational and political affairs as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections. The results also mark the emergence of John Boadu as National Chairman alongside Justin Frimpong Kodua, who defeated Boadu in the contest for General Secretary at the party’s 2022 National Delegates Conference. Delivering a speech on behalf of all the elected executives, the newly elected National Chairman, John Boadu, called on members of the party to unite and work together to recapture political power in the upcoming elections.
