'We are starving for sex' – Woman defends alleged sexual assault of Uber driver by three women

One of the three women accused of allegedly sexually assaulting an Uber driver known as Kwame has defended their actions, claiming they resorted to such encounters because men are not approaching them for relationships. Speaking on Kasapa FM, the woman said the lack of attention from men had influenced their actions, claiming that whenever they got the opportunity, they sexually assaulted a man as they considered it a way of making themselves happy and satisfying their sexual desires. She also questioned why the Uber driver was making a public issue out of the alleged incident, asking whether he did not enjoy the encounter. “I have not got any man coming my way for us to be in a relationship. That is what we also do to make ourselves happy. We wouldn’t say that because men are scared of approaching us, we wouldn’t have sex. After having sex with us, didn’t he enjoy it?” she said. According to her, she does not understand why men are reluctant to approach them but suggested that it could be due to their appearance, body shapes and perceived social status. “I don’t know why men are scared to approach us, but I assume it’s because of how we are, how our bodies and class are,” she noted. The woman explained that there are occasions when they dress up and go out with the expectation of meeting men, insisting that their intention is not to engage in prostitution but to find potential partners. How I was 'sexually molested' by three women from Kasoa – Uber driver shares his ordeal “Sometimes, we can dress up and step out, not to say we are into prostitution, but because we want a man in our lives,” she said. She further claimed that the Uber driver was not the first man to have allegedly experienced such treatment from them. According to her, two other men had previously been subjected to similar encounters but did not take the matter public, questioning why the Uber driver chose to speak about his experience. “We are starving for men to have sex with us, and that is why, if we get any chance, we grab it. He is not the only person who is a victim. He is about the third man we have done that to, so why haven’t the other two men taken the issue to the public?” she asked. Her comments come after an Uber driver recounted an alleged assault involving three women, claiming that the incident occurred at an apartment in East Legon Hills. Uber driver recounts alleged assault Recounting the incident in an interview on Kasapa FM, the driver, who lives in Kasoa Budumburam, said the three women contacted him to transport them to East Legon Hills. He said he interacted with the women during the trip and later agreed to return the following morning to take them back to Kasoa. “There are three women who live in the neighbourhood that I’m not too familiar with. They requested my services to take them to East Legon Hills, and because of the nature of Uber, you mostly don’t get trips when operating in Kasoa,” he narrated. According to the driver, when they arrived at their destination, the women asked him to briefly enter the apartment so that he could familiarise himself with the location ahead of his return the following morning. He alleged that the situation changed after he entered the apartment, claiming that one of the women locked the door and took away the keys. “Immediately, I entered the apartment; one of the women locked the door and took away the keys. All three women were well-built and stout, while I am smallish, so they overpowered me and began running their hands all over my body,” he said. The driver said he pleaded with the women to release him, but alleged that his pleas were ignored. He claimed that one of the women pinned his legs against the bed while the three women took turns sexually assaulting him. “I asked to leave immediately, but they ignored my pleas. One of them pinned my legs against the bed, making me unable to move, while all three of them took turns having their way with me,” he disclosed. He said the alleged incident left him physically weak and unable to immediately continue with his activities. “I couldn’t move after the ordeal because I was weak after the encounter. I dragged myself slowly into my car, where I managed to sleep for about two hours,” he said.
