Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has warned newly elected NPP First Vice Chairman Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo “Bamba,” to be careful about what he eats, alleging that he could be poisoned.
According to the controversial prophet, he has foreseen in the spiritual realm that Kojo Bamba could be poisoned and has, therefore, urged him to exercise caution.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM on October 6, 2026, Kumchacha said the people Kojo Bamba competed against in the NPP’s internal elections would not be behind any such plot, but rather, individuals outside the contest who are unhappy with his current position.
“Kojo Bamba has done well, and he should take good care of himself, or else he would be poisoned. Those who will carry out such an operation would not be the people he competed with, but outside people who are not happy with his current position.
“This is a prophecy. He should be careful with what he eats, drinks or takes in because I don’t talk about prophecies like this often. So, before I say things like this, I am serious about it,” he said.
Kojo Bamba’s election as First Vice Chairman has attracted considerable attention after he defeated 12 other candidates in the contest.
They included Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hameed, Nana Akomea, Samuel Pyne, George Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, Richard Ahiagba, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, Richard Oti Aboagye, Abena Pokua Boaitey Amoah, Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, Henry Nana Boakye, Horma Miez and Bright Esselfie Kumi.
He was declared the winner of the 1st Vice Chairman position after securing 3,116 votes during the party's National Delegate Conference in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 3, 2026.
