SDA Treasury Departments hold four-day joint workshop

The Treasury Departments of the South West Ghana Union Conference (SWGUC) and the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church have held a four-day joint workshop for treasury personnel from the two unions and their respective fields.
Hosted by SEGUM from October 4 to 7, 2026, the workshop brought together the treasurers of the two unions, their associates, and treasury personnel from various fields within the southern sector of the Church.
Dr Daniel Adofo-Ameyaw, Treasurer (CFO) of the South West Ghana Union Conference, led the SWGUC delegation, while Dr Isaac Owusu-Dankwa, Treasurer (CFO) of the South East Ghana Union Mission, led the SEGUM team.
The workshop focused on budgeting, planning, and responsible resource management, with an emphasis on equipping treasury personnel with the practical knowledge and skills needed to support the mission and operations of the Church.
The programme also provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences, review existing practices, and discuss practical approaches to strengthening accountability and transparency across the various fields.
As part of the workshop, participants paid a working visit to the headquarters of the South East Ghana Union Mission in Tema on Tuesday, October 6. The visit provided an opportunity for the treasury teams to interact with SEGUM leadership and staff, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration between the two unions.
The joint initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the two unions to promote sound administration, transparency, and accountability in support of the mission and ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment among participants to apply the knowledge and experiences gained to improve practices across their respective unions and fields.
