Two mentally unstable brothers have been detained for allegedly setting fire to their house in Abuakwa Manhyia, in the Ashanti Region, resulting in their mother's death.
The siblings are reported to be psychologically unstable.
According to Rainbowradioonline.com, the brothers had a confrontation with their grandmother, during which they threatened to burn her alive, and subsequently set the house ablaze while their mother was inside.
The grandmother reported the threat to the police, but the brothers allegedly set the house on fire in her absence.
The fire completely destroyed the house and the mother's burnt remains were transported to the mortuary. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
