The Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Omane Boamah, has accused the Electoral Commission of stealing for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the just-ended Ejisu by-election.
Dr Omane Boamah backed his claim with a video he downloaded online of the EC official counting the votes on the day.
In the video, the EC official is heard jumping the count from 33 to 37.
Dr. Omane Boamah expressed worry that if this happens at 10,000 polling stations it means that 40,000, illegal votes will be added.
He used the opportunity to caution the Electoral Commission that the NDC, during the national elections, will ensure that an eagle eye is placed on their activities.
He made the remark after the NPP parliamentary candidate, Kwabena Boateng, defeated his closest contender, Kwabena Aduomi, to win the Ejisu by-elections.
