The Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo on Monday held a meeting with contractors where he outlined his policies and programmes for the construction industry when he’s elected President in the December 7 election.
He among other things assured the contractors that all debts being owed them will be paid within the first 100 upon assumption of office in January 2017.
Nana Akufo-Addo also promised to ensure that Ghanaian contractors improve their capacities in order to compete with international companies for larger contracts.
For him, since about 90 percent of goods and services are transported by road, the development of “our roads is extremely important…” hence the need to support local contractors in the sector.
