The parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Essikado-Ketan constituency, Charles Bissue, has paid off the bills of new mothers who were at the Essikado Government Hospital, the Fijai Hospital, and the Essipong Clinic.
The gesture was done on Mother's Day this year, which Bissue said was in honour of mothers whom he described as ‘creators.’
In a post shared after the kind gesture, Charles Bissue said that the feeling from what he did for the new mothers is incomparable to anything he has ever done.
“There is none compared to what I felt today. Pure joy and relief on the faces of our new mothers. Our mothers and women are ‘Creators’ on earth. They deserve all that we can ever imagine to make life beautiful for them and their new babies.
“I shared the story about my birth and how that inspired me to support these mothers. As a reminder of the struggles of my parents, and on this special day, I paid up all bills for new mothers at the Essipong Government Hospital, Fijai Hospital, and Essipong Clinic. May God grant these mothers and their babies more life and health, and may they prosper. Happy Mother's Day!!!” he wrote.
Some of the new mothers expressed their profound gratitude to the parliamentary candidate for his generosity towards them.
Sunday, May 12, 2024, was celebrated around the world as Mother's Day in honour of all mothers.
The day is also set aside globally to allow people show their appreciation towards mothers and mother figures worldwide.
