Former President John Dramani has stated that the swearing in of Adama Barrow has given true meaning to the relevance of to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The Former President was among dignitaries who attended the inauguration of Adama Barrow which also coincided with the 52 years of the West African country’s independence.
He said he was happy to be part of the history of Gambia on expressed his feelings on official twitter page.

John Dramani Mahama was appointed as co-chair of the ECOWAS mediation team in The Gambia.
He together with Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari – who is the mediator – chaired the team of West African leaders, who met in Nigeria to discuss ways of convincing Gambian former president Yahya Jammeh to step down after he lost this year’s election, organised on December 1, to Adama Barrow.
