An International Relations expert and Director of Academic Affairs at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Dr Vladimir Antwi-Danso, has reiterated his caution on what he describes as several ungovernable places emerging in Ghana and other parts of Africa.
He said there are places particularly in the northern part of Ghana where the security agencies are aware of their existence yet are unable to police.
These places according to him are controlled by goons who are sometimes aided by faceless top individuals.
Dr Antwi-Danso says Ghana must not feel complacent with the impression that the country is free from terrorism.
He added that while terrorists are being dissipated from the west, there is a possibility of them evading less secured places in Africa and efforts must be doubled by countries like Ghana to ward them off.
He spoke at a workshop at the University of Cape Coast aimed at strengthening Africa’s security against activities of terrorists in Africa.
