The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate and MP hopeful for the Bekwai constituency, Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, on Tuesday, 30th April 2024, met with all elected assembly members and government appointees in the Bekwai Municipality.

The purpose of the visit was to extend congratulations to all members, introduce himself, and discuss collaborative efforts to develop the constituency.

Affectionately known as the 'young wise counsel,' he called for unity among members and urged them to promote the good works of Dr. Bawumia and himself in their respective electoral areas.

He emphasized that, under his leadership as MP, he would ensure a fair and equitable distribution of resources and development across the constituency's communities.

He also assured members of his availability and support for matters requiring his attention. In line with his belief in accessibility, he provided his personal contact information and encouraged members to reach out to him regarding issues in their electoral areas.

As a realist and man of action, the MP hopeful promised to personally call and visit members to discuss community issues and find solutions.

During the meeting, Assembly members highlighted major concerns within the constituency, such as the relocation of refuse dumps in Poano/Adjamesu/Senfi and the condition of the Kensere-Krokotro-Koniyaw and Poano to Manso roads.

They stated that these issues, if unaddressed, could lead to voter apathy and impact the NPP's success in the upcoming 7th December general elections. Lawyer Poku-Adusei acknowledged these concerns and assured that efforts are underway to resolve them before the elections.

He reiterated his commitment to the constituency and his determination to bring about the necessary development and economic improvement. He affirmed his promise of creating a self-sufficient constituency.

The members expressed their gratitude, noting that such a visit was unprecedented in the Assembly's history. A cash donation of GHS 5000 was made, followed by a group photograph with the members.
