The President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will Sunday morning, join the congregants of the Accra Ridge Church for a thanksgiving service.
The event will kick off at 07:30 GMT.
Accompanying him will be his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Vice-President-elect, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia.
In addition, members of his newly formed Transition team namely; Yaw Osafo Maafo, Frema Osei Pare, Gloria Akufo, Ken Ofori-Atta, Ambrose Dery, Dominic Nitiwul, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Hajia Alima Mahama and Albert Kan-Dapaah.
Nana Akufo-Addo won last Wednesday’s polls by 5,716,026 votes, representing 53.85%, to topple incumbent President John Dramani Mahama who polled 4,713,277 votes, representing 44.04%.
The former Foreign Affairs Minister and Attorney-General under the erstwhile Kufuor administration’s victory, comes after his third at the presidency, having contested in the 2008 and 2012 elections.
His victory has sparked wild jubilation across the country with NPP supporters taking over the streets of the capital, Accra, and his party’s stronghold – Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
