Catherine Afeku,minister of Tourism covers the front page of the state-owned Daily Graphic
Beginning with the Daily Graphic the Minister of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku has issued a statement for the closure of the Kintampo waterfall after a tragic incident that claimed the lives of about 18 students who went on an excursion to the falls.
The ministry has also called on Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to embark on a comprehensive safety audit of all major tourist sites in the country, the Ministry also revealed that it will Fast-track its representation to Parliament for the passage of a Legislative Instrument to enable the GTA to regulate and certify these tourist attractions.
