A soon to be couple have been involved in a fatal motorcycle accident leading to the death of the man identified as James Odjeheme alias Foo however, the woman is in critical condition currently hospitalized at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Morgue.
According to a family source, the two lovers were returning from Amaganya to Klo-Agogo in the Yilo Krobo Municipality as part of preparation towards the engagement ceremony anticipated to take place in the next few weeks.
Speaking to Kasapa FM News, a family member who spoke under condition of anonymity explained that, the motorbike which the two were ridding on without helmet, collided with an oncoming speeding vehicle a short distance after Nkrukan on their way to Klo-Agogo.
He said, 31 year old James Odjeheme died instantly as a result of multiple fatal injuries suffered during the clash but the 21 year old Precious, survived the accident with serious fractures which according to the family source, Doctors are contemplating amputating the two legs.
The use of Motorbikes particularly Okada as means of transport is high in Klo-Agogo, Pepetifi,Wurapong, and the entire Yilo Krobo Municipality due to the deplorable road networks in the area.
Most motorbike Ridders ride without helmet hence suffer fatal injuries whenever they’re involved in accident.
