Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) clashed at Asokore in the New Juabeng North Constituency of the Eastern Region after a health walk Sunday morning.
It is not known what caused the clash as the two parties trade accusations. 3news.com’s Yvonne Neequaye said the two parties had organized the health walk at the same time, following almost the same route. All of a sudden, they began throwing stones at each other with the NPP supporters in front of NDC’s. “Some residents had their properties ransacked and destroyed,” our reporter said.
Others sustained minor injuries, she added. The police have assured of giving a blow-by-blow account of how the clash broke out on Monday, November 21 as investigations have already been launched into it.
