the GNFS is there only in the name. i haven't heard of a fire they have been able to put out. always they say our water was not sufficient.I have been what they do when they go for conferences outside, and also why cant they learn from actions the see on TV from other countries. you see, those who made the fire vehicles don not depend on the water in the tanks sole. they have water hydrants that they connect their hoses to while putting out fire. if we cannot build hydrant can't we buy water tankers which will follow them so they won't say the water in tanks was not enough?

Heads of Ministries and agencies are obligated to speak up if their concerns are not addressed through normal channels or their fundings are diverted from them.They are required to know their Ministries/Agencies to be able to estimate their needs.You cannot accurately estimate how much it may cost to renovate or build schools when you don't even know the number of students per region you are building the schools for.Fundings are not favours and the money been allocated is not coming from the pocket of the President or any one party.The days when Mahama thought the national purse belonged to his family are gone.Failure to adequately fund these various sensitive agencies may result in destructive and costly deterioration which may even prove fatal.Our National Fire Service and Police need our support to secure the adequate training and equipments to fight all the potential challenges that Ghana may face and not just in Accra.We don't need a horrible national disasters broadcasted to the world on CNN and BBC before we see the sense in adequate preparations.Our fire Fighters could also be trained to be used for multiple duties such as Schools/Hospital safety and sanitary inspections,Safety Inspections at Factories,Markets and other work Places,removing hazards such as tree branches obscuring Traffic lights/signs/power linesand other dangerous conditions on our roads and public places,changing burnt bulbs in traffic lights etc.With an Interior Minister with vision we can coordinate most of these agencies and ministries in the country to work effectively together and compliment each other.

Well when any fire starts on these tower blocks our fire service is ill-equip to tackle fire above 5 floors.This is worrying and more High rises are being built in Ghana . No sprinklers and smoke alarm are installed in these high rises.
