The 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season will be launched on Monday 26 February, 2018.
The new date was set after Wednesday's hurriedly arranged Ordinary Congress at the Ghana Football Association secretariat.
For two weeks, the Premier League Board had to postpone the official launch due to a court suit by Great Olympics that sort too place an injunction on the start of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The 2018 Ghana Premier League was scheduled to kick off on February 11 but with the injunction application, the start date was postponed, so was the GFA Congress.
Olympics are crying foul after their protests against unqualified players fielded by Bechem United and Elmina Sharks were thrown out despite having proof.
The Disciplinary Committee of the FA annulled both cases which according to the constitution merit a deduction of six points.
And Olympics will not be relegated if points are deducted. Bechem, instead, will be demoted to the second tier.
But a Human Right Court dismissed the interlocutory injunction and that has given officials the green light.
Official and Reserve jerseys of all participating clubs in this year’s league will be outdoored at Monday’s launch.
