The German defender picked up an injury when Bayern Munich suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Real Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
"It's a sad story for the Boateng family, and I wrote to him right after the injury," said his big brother, who enjoys Jérôme's dilemma in a purely athletic way.
"Bayern are a bit weaker without him, he is one of the best, maybe even the best center-back in the world," praised Boateng.
