Appiah, 56, who has been re-appointed on a two-year deal, is expected to rejiq a squad that has failed to win the elusive Africa Cup of Nations crown.

The players who are predominantly based in Europe must now justify their inclusion in the team as Appiah will be under pressure to deliver the country's long wait for an African title.
