Asamoah Gyan scored his fourth league goal in 11 appearances when he converted a penalty to help Al Ahli beat Al Dhafra 2-0 at home on Wednesday.
The Black Stars captain sent Abdulla Sultan, the Dhafra goalkeeper the wrong way in the 44th minute.
Senegalese Makhete Diop doubled the visitors’ lead in the 63rd minute.
Gyan was replaced by Saeed Jassim Saleh after 87 minutes.
