Swedish agent Hamid Kabodvand claims ex-Ghana star Michael Essien is eager to play in the Swedish top-flight.
But the former Chelsea and AC Milan star has been rejected by three Allsvenskan sides AIK, Hammarby and IFK Göteborg.
The 34-year-old has been without a club since terminating his contract with Greek side Panathinaikos at the end of last season.
Essien has been has been training with Chelsea to get himself fit for his next move.
Kabodvand told Sportbladet: "This is serious. Essien needs to play matches and get in shape. So the Allsvenskan is perfect.
"He also wants that both he and the club will be able to have an option to terminate the contract in the summer at the next transfer window."
