Christian Atsu fit to face Leicester City - Rafa Benitez

Newcastle FC boss Rafa Benitez has hinted that Ghana winger Christian Atsu will be available this weekend when his side welcome Leicester City to St. James Park.

The Ghanaian has missed his club’s last three EPL games after sustaining an injury whilst training with Ghana for a national assignment but he is expected to face the Foxes on Saturday.

“We should have Christian Atsu & Paul Dummett available for the Leicester game after the pair just missed out this weekend.” Benitez stated on Monday.

“A decision will be made on Jamaal Lascelles later this week if he can play or not,”

Newcastle have picked just one point from a possible nine in their last three games.
