Black Stars left back Abdul Baba Rahman is set to undergo medicals at German outfit Schalke 04 for a widely reported loan spell.
The Royal Blues’ Sporting Director, Christian Heidel, announced this on Thursday at a press briefing.
He appears impressed with the state of the Chelsea player’s health.
Baba Rahman suffered a knee injury at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations during Ghana’s opening 1-0 win over Uganda’s Cranes.
Rahman was stretchered off in the game
But he is steadily recovering though not in the plans of Chelsea coach Antonio Conte.
Heidel stated: “We will give him the time he needs but the medical will reveal more.”
He stated that the deal is not complete yet but they are in the “home straight” with it.
Baba Rahman, who had starred for Augsburg in the Bundes Liga, had spent the 2016/2017 season on loan at Schalke 04.
