Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has vowed to reward some of the Aduana Stars players with Black Stars call up should they excel in the club's two-legged clash against ES Setif in the second round of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Ghana Premier League champions will host Algerian giants ES Setif at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park II in the second round of the preliminary stage of this year's CAF Champions League on Wednesday.
The Dormaa-based side qualified to the second round of the competition after defeating Libyan outfit Al Tahaddy 2-1 on aggregate.
The Fire Boys could become the first Ghanaian club to make it to the group stages of the competition since Berekum Chelsea in 2012, if they overcome ES Setif hurdle in a two-legged tie.
And in enlivening the players ahead of the match, former Al Khartoum Watani coach, Kwesi Appiah, has promised to hand Black Stars call up to the players who will make the difference the team.
"Eliminate E.S Setif and qualify to the CAF Champions League group stage and I will make sure you guys get chance to the Black Stars in my next call up," Coach Appiah said as quoted by Kickgh.com
Agile shot-stopper Joseph Addo is the only player from Aduana Stars who is a member of the current Black Stars of Ghana squad.
