Accra, July 29 - GNA - Accra Great Olympics have condemned Mr David Fugar, a member of the Board of Directors of the club for attacking Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie, head coach of Olympics during the team's last match against Hasaacas at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday, July 27.

A statement released on Tuesday by the management committee and signed by Mr Richard Oblitei Solomon, chairman, said the attack "was detrimental to the interest of the club and very disturbing, considering Mr Fugar's position in the club."

"We are particularly concerned that the attack is likely to give wrong signals to supporters as to the manner in which they may express their dissatisfaction with the team's performance."

While condemning the attack "in the strongest of terms," the management committee hoped appropriate action would be taken on the matter to redeem the club's image.
