The Minister for Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, Thursday, July 19, 2018, stormed Parliament and proposed what he termed sustainable revenue measures for the consideration and approval of the House.
Among these measures are new taxes, strengthening of tax compliance and expenditure adjustments.
Presenting the mid-year fiscal policy review of the 2018 budget statement and economic policy of the government, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta said the new measures will yield the country an estimated amount of GH?1.345billion.
For instance, he said the strengthening of tax compliance will yield an estimated amount of GH?500million while the downward adjustments in public expenditure will also yield GH?664million.
