Western Union, the global leader in money transfer service, has rewarded 136 lucky customers across the country for their loyalty and usage of the Western Union Money Transfer Service.
The customers rewarded under a promotion dubbed: ‘’Western Union Better Life Promotion,’’ saw them presented with consolation prizes such as deep freezers, table top cookers, sewing machines with fabric, hair dryer with equipment trolleys, laptops with 3-in-1 printers, scanners and photocopiers.
The promotion which spanned March 27 to May 12 was aimed at appreciating customers for making Western Union their preferred money transfer service.
It was also to give customers prizes that can encourage them to start their own small businesses as well as to attract potential customers to the Western Union brand.
Mr Kennedy Omenako, the Head of Remittance Payment of the Universal Merchant Bank, said due to the usage of advanced technology for its operations, beneficiaries received money conveniently at every Western Union location.
Mr Joseph Amankwah, a Client Relations Officer of Enterprise Trustees who won a Chest Freezer, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency commended Western Union for the kind gesture acknowledging Western Union for its reliability and quality of service.
Ms Elizabeth Armah, a makeup artist who also won a Table Top Cookers, expressed gratitude to Western Union and called on the citizenry to patronise their services as it could be compared to none.
Western Union organises seasonal promotions every year such as Easter promotion, Back to School and the Year End Promotion, which reward many customers with fantastic prizes.
With more than 1,200 agent locations in Ghana, Western Union has made it easier for people to receive money from loved ones abroad with agents or banks across the country.
