The State has filed its second batch of disclosures with witness statements in the criminal proceedings case against self-styled businessman, Yahuza Osumanu accused of robbing several personalities including former Second Lady Matilda Amissah-Arthur.
A State Attorney Amanda Awadey told the High Court that the state also intends to file further disclosures.
The accused is facing 26 counts of robbery and money laundering and has been denied bail.
Yahuza is alleged to have attacked former Second Lady Mrs Amissah-Arthur on December 5, 2023, at about 4 am at her residence.
The Tesano Police Division on receipt of the information dispatched a team to the crime scene but on their arrival, the accused person had fled.
It is alleged that Yahuza demanded money and valuables and succeeded in robbing her of various currencies.
The accused allegedly also made away with a gold watch valued at 20 thousand cedis and necklaces. He is also alleged to have assaulted Mrs Amissah-Arthur who reportedly lost consciousness.
Yahuza is said to have been on the police wanted list for his involvement in robberies at Cantonments, Airport Residential Area, Ridge and Tesano in Accra.
A list of his victims includes renowned architect David Adjaye. The case has been adjourned to June 6, 2024.
