A raging fight between self-acclaimed Dancehall King Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation(GHAMRO) over his unpaid royalties has ended up at the Legon police station in Accra.

The artist revealed that GHAMRO claims to have paid the amount to one Rafiq of Bullhaus Entertainment his former managers via a registered MTN mobile money number.

But the suspect who was invited and taken to the police station by he and his team, has denied receiving such an amount leading to the police conducting full-scale investigations into the incident.

“I don’t want trouble so that people will say Shatta Wale has done this or that….. so I invited the guy and took him to the Legon police station but he said he did not receive any money from GHAMRO on mobile money. The police are currently investigating the matter to determine if Rafiq is telling the truth or otherwise”, he revealed on Thursday.

Shatta Wale however wondered why his 2013 royalties could be paid into mobile money account when he enjoyed massive airplay among others in 2013 and thereafter.

“The amount should have been paid into my personal account. The amount should be bigger than mobile money because I enjoyed massive patronage in 2013”, he added.
