Stop calling veteran musicians 'expired' - Kuami Eugene to Ghanaians

Most Ghanaians have the habit of "retiring" artistes even before they take a decision to retire and Hiplife artiste Kwami Eugene has sent a word of caution to such Ghanaians.

The "Angela" hitmaker, in an interview with SVTV Africa, indicated that being in the Music Industry for quite some time does not make it compulsory for the artist to retire as some Ghanaians say.

According to Kuami Eugene, Ghana lacks a fair number of artists because of the attitude of sending artists to an early retirement.

" If pioneers like Nana Boro, Tic Tac release tracks this instant insult would be hurled at them and they would be asked to leave the music career for the young ones, however, we support Nigerian artistes who the same number of years as our artists in the industry." Kuami Eugene said

Kuami Eugene also asked Industry players and Ghanaians to open arms for underground artists because they are are trying to give the Industry vibrant.

Kuami Eugene entered the MTN Hitmaker Competition in 2016 and finished at the second-runner up position in the season’s finale. He was signed shortly after to the award-winning Ghanaian record, Lynx Entertainment.
