The Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, is mobilizing Ejisu's electorate to support the NPP's Lawyer Kwabena Boateng in the upcoming Tuesday by-election.
Following the death of the incumbent NPP MP, John Ampontuah Kumah, Hon. Osei-Opare stressed the significance of electing Lawyer Boateng to ensure the constituency's continued development.
She passionately urged the people of Ejisu to cast their votes for Lawyer Boateng, asserting that a strong turnout for him would reinforce trust in the government and invigorate the local political base for the 2024 general elections.
Her plea follows a voter education campaign she led, aiming to inform and inspire the electorate before the by-election. Her longstanding connection with the community lends weight to her words, as many residents regard her as a credible figure and champion of their cause. In the meantime, the Electoral Commission (EC) has released the Notice of Poll, listing six contenders for the open seat.
This includes three independent candidates and representatives from three political parties.
The party-affiliated candidates are Esther Osei of the CPP, Kwabena Boateng of the NPP, and Beatrice Boakye of the LPG.
The race also includes former NPP MP and Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, as an Independent candidate, alongside Gabriel Agyemang Joseph and Attakorah Joseph.
