Ghanaian musician‑turned‑pastor Yaw Siki has shared his thoughts on Krobohene Nana Asa Akonpanin’s viral social media video, noting that the community has turned to God following the theft of its ancestral deities.
In a video reported by GhanaWeb on August 31, 2026, the chief explained that the disappearance of the deities left the community with no option but to seek divine protection through prayer.
According to Nana Asa Akonpanin, the decision was made after consulting his elders, adding that the community has witnessed positive changes since turning to God.

“The gods that were protecting this town have been missing. Someone has stolen the gods, so how can the gods protect the town? As a result, I consulted my elders and told them that the whole town should now worship God instead of the gods,” he said.
Following Nana Asa Akonpanin’s statement, which has since sparked discussions on social media, Yaw Siki, in a post on X on August 31, 2026, noted that he is glad the community has finally turned to God.
According to Yaw Siki, he is confident that the chief and his people have found life after turning to God.
“Nana and his whole town found life… we bless God,” Yaw Siki noted.
