‘My children have not experienced motherly love before’ – Kwaku Manu asserts
Ghanaian actor and film producer Kwaku Manu has opened up about his children’s relationship with their mother, revealing that they have not lived with her since they were young.
Speaking in an interview with MC Portfolio on September 7, 2026, Kwaku Manu mentioned that he has personally raised his children and has been with them throughout their formative years.
“They’ve never stayed with their mother. I’ve lived with them since they were kids. My youngest child is 11 years and when you ask him about their mother, he wouldn’t know what to say,” he said.
According to the actor, although his children communicate with their mother through phone calls, they have not experienced living with her or receiving the day-to-day care he describes as motherly love.

“They only communicate with her through phone calls. My children have not experienced motherly love before, but they talk to their mother on the phone,” he stated.
Kwaku Manu was also asked what values his children could learn from their mother, but he explained that their limited physical interaction makes it difficult for them to speak about her character.
“How some people would want to talk about their mother, they wouldn’t have anything to say about her. But when you ask them about me, their father, they can tell you how I am,” he shared.
The actor, however, noted that he hopes his children will learn several qualities from him, including humility, patience, honesty and courage.
“I would want my children to learn to be humble and patient just like me. They should also learn to speak the truth because all my children know that I hate lies. I’m very courageous, so they can learn that too from me,” he added.
