Sadidi Mohammed, popularly known as Arab Money, the incumbent Abuakwa North Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region, has officially filed his nomination to seek a second term in office.
Sadidi Mohammed submitted his nomination forms at the NDC Constituency office in Akyem New Tafo on Thursday, September 24, 2026, ahead of the party’s internal elections.
His arrival at the party office attracted a number of delegates and supporters who gathered to show their support for his re-election bid.
Speaking on the sidelines of the filing, Sadidi Mohammed appealed to delegates to consider his record and give him the opportunity to continue serving as Constituency Chairman.
He said he led the party during the 2024 general elections, contributing to the NDC’s efforts to win political power despite the constituency being regarded as a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, before the 2024 elections, many people were reluctant to contest party positions because the NDC was then in opposition and faced significant political challenges in the constituency.
He therefore urged delegates to recognise those who remained committed to the party during difficult times.
“He who has helped to prepare the soup should not be deterred from taking a sip,” he said.
Sadidi Mohammed described the nomination process as fair and expressed confidence in the party’s internal democratic processes.
He further assured party members and delegates of his continued support, commitment and loyalty to the NDC, pledging to work with all stakeholders to strengthen the party in the Abuakwa North Constituency.
