'Some artistes refuse to perform in villages' - Ras Kuuku laments
Reggae/Dancehall musician Ras Kuuku has shared his thoughts on how some artistes prefer to perform only in cities and flashy communities.
In an interview on 4Syte TV, shared on social media, Ras Kuuku noted that some musicians refuse to perform at concerts in villages, mainly because they believe such locations do not suit their brand.
According to him, irrespective of the location where he is booked to perform, he ensures that he delivers his service to the satisfaction of his audience.

“There are some artistes when you call them in the villages, they don’t want to go. I make sure I go down there to perform for these people,” he said.
Ras Kuuku further called on artistes in the country to stop being selective when invited to perform in certain parts of the country.
He explained that there are no villages in Ghana as compared to before, adding that people in these communities are equally fans who support and promote the work of artistes in the country.

“It is because of the name village, but right now there is no village in Ghana. I am telling every Ghanaian artiste that when they call you for these shows, you should go.
“Because when I go for these shows, people do tell me that when they call these artistes, they refuse to show up,” he added.
