Following the video's circulation, socialite Afia Schwargener took to social media to mock Empress over what she described as a mere Chinese car.
According to Afia, Empress Gifty’s reaction, even after receiving the vehicle, was fake and part of what she described as “settings.”

Afia Schwargener further alleged that Empress Gifty had bought the car herself and arranged for her husband to present it to her as a surprise, solely to attract attention on social media.
"My daughter Tracy took a brand-new G-Wagon Brabus 2026 this November. Don’t let them give you a Chinese car for you to faint in Jesus’ name; say Amen.
“Most importantly, after you bought the car and gave it to the person to surprise you with it, the two of you are shameless. How can you borrow this? Take your stupidity away,” she said.
