Empress Gifty fires back at critics over ‘Chinese car gift’ comments
Celebrated gospel musician Empress Gifty has taken to social media to jab individuals who have been criticising her over the past 24 hours after she received a birthday gift from her husband, Hopeson Adorye.
In an excerpt from Empress’ live TikTok video shared on November 5, 2026, the gospel musician was seen mocking her critics.
In the less-than-one-minute video, the musician showcased the keys to her two luxurious vehicles.
After flaunting the two car keys, one for a Range Rover and the other for her 2026 Changan Q07 Plug-in Hybrid SUV, the gospel musician noted that she prefers the Chinese car to the Range Rover.

Empress Gifty further indicated that she is likely to register her new vehicle in her name, while her Range Rover would be registered in her late mother’s name.
“Should I even start the car, or should I use the Range? I haven’t even registered the Range. I will register the Range. Agaga.
“And I will register the Chinese car as Empress 2. I prefer the Chinese car… Baby, the car is what I took to work today. I was even using the massage while driving,” she said.
Meanwhile, Afia Schwarzenegger has taken to social media to mock Empress Gifty for overly rejoicing over what she described as a mere Chinese car gift.
