The Consul General in New York, H. E. Obeng Gyan Busia has been widely
praised by the Ghanaian community in New York and the tri-state area for
always offering his support and gracing an occasion whenever invited.
In an effort to continue better relations with the business community
already established, H. E. Busia who strongly believes in recogniton decided
to give credit where credit is due.
He recently awarded the travel agents for their excellent services to the
community. Among the travel agents awarded were; Eddie Agbo, CEO of
Ambassadorway Travel, a trendsetter and veteran in travel business
(Godfather of Ghanaian Travel agencies), Nana Kwesi Nyarko, CEO of Black
Star Travel and Tours, Maxwell Poku, CEO/President, MAX $ MAX LLC, Francis
Opare Larbi, Advance Travel, Richard Owusu, Eagle Wings, Daniel Badu, Royal
Travel & Tours, Philip Badu, Mill Run Tours, Donald Okyere Darko, Executive
Travel, David Anokye, Klassique Travel, Yvonne Ofosu-Appiah, Trinity
Travel. H. E. Busia also recognized the contributions of Ms Esther Agyare
of Eddie's Place and Van Vicker, Africa's hottest movie star for his
excellence in the Ghanaian movies industry.
The ceremony was moderated by the Deputy Consul General;Joseph Ngminebayihi;
umbiquitous, well learned, humble and with great sense of humour and
assisted by the lovely;Caroline Appiah, Assistant to the Consul General
(always smiling) .
All the award reciepients were grateful and indeed commented that it has
been an honour receiving the awards from the Consul General. The Consul
General's great vision has set the pace for recognition at the consulate and
this was something never witnessed by these travel agents.
