pic 28207319 Chicago,IL -- Regardless of an intense cold weather and icy road conditions, Family and Friends of Mr. Robert Nii Okine recently gathered at 2119 S. Michian, to celebrate the life of his late mother ,MadamFelicia Yeboawah Ansah, affectionately called "Mmaa". Madam Yeboawah Ansah, died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra recently. She was 86 years old. The late Madam Yeboawah Ansah was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her six children ,17 grand children and many great grand children. Reverend Canon Robert Koomson and Dr. Gabriel Amoateng-Boahin were the officiating ministers whilst Mr. Kwasi Yeboah led the short service that preceded the traditional ceremony. The emcee of the occasion was the new chairman of the Ga-Adangbe Organization, Mr. Abdul Brimah. Members of the Ghanaian Community Church and the Ga-Adangbe Organization present various amounts of cash to the bereaved family. In a tribute read on his behalf, Mr. Williams, at times overwhelmed with emotions , described her late mother as the pillar in the life of her children when he said "Madam Felicia Yeboawah Ansah,whose life we celebrate today, was affectionately called Mmaa by her children and others. She was the rock on which we, his children, built our life?s foundation. Our father died when l, Robert Williams, was only 4 years old, but my mother was not deterred in her effort to raise all Six of us like any other children. She provided bread on the table when the means was obviously not there. Mmaa gave us education and made us what we are today though she was a single mother and did not have a formal education herself." The bereaved family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all for their immense support during their time of mourning.
