Chicago,IL--The Tutu and the Opoku families organized a send off party for
their visiting mother and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Anokye, recently at the
South Central Community Center ,83rd and Ellis recently.
Mrs. Elizabeth Anokye, mother-in-law of Nana Owusu Korkor, (Tony Tutu) and
mother of Abigail Opoku, Francisca Opoku and Priscilla Tutu, wife of Tony Tutu.
Family and friends ,members of the Ghanaian Community stormed the South
Central Community Center in their numbers to support the Tutu and the Opoku
family. The Ashantefuohene and his elders, the Chief and Queen of Ga-Adangbe
Organization and their elders, the Publishers of African Spectrum, Mr.Berko
Akoto and his lovely wife Pauline, the former Ashantefuohene, Nana Kwesi,, Mr.and
Mrs Bennett Agyeman, Mr. Kwaku Duah and his wife Mrs. Vicky Darkwa and the
outgoing president of the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago, were
there to grace the occasion.
D.J Reggie kept the large gathering on their toes with marvelous mixes of
Hip-Life,Old School,etc music.
