Bronx, New York -- For those young people who have lost hope, struggling and thinking life is
so bad, and that God has forgotten about them ? here is a pain medicine.
Youngafest, which is about to send a shock wave across the globe with its
new G.A.N.G.(God's Anointed New Generation). Its powerful theme is "Have an
attitude for Gratitude".
What could have caused so many youths from different churches and
organizations to come together as one body and work towards one goal?
Nothing else comes to mind than YOUNGAFEST '08. Many youths came together
with one mind from; Christ Pentecostal International Church, Acts of the
Apostles Ministries, All Nations Under One God, Youth Reedemers, United
Ghana Methodist Church, and many more;
A forum for discussions was created among the youth led by NYC community
activist; Dr. Jimmy Bostic, on pertinent issues of concern such as dealing
with gang violence, STDs & HIV/AIDS, peer pressure as well as sharing of
information on educational resources from which the youth can benefit.
This musically assorted night featured top gospel artists; such as Israel
Kelly, Getty and Friends, Steve Kelly, Lady Harriet Adarkwah, and many more
as coordinated by Chief Alex Duodo and Naa Yaa Prempeh.
Through the activities offered in YOUNGAFEST, the vision of Bro. Stephen
Adarkwah equiped young adults to channel their energies into productive
ventures. Something which is wholly God glorifying and simultaneously
helpful in setting the pace in exemplary societal behavior upon which other
struggling youths can pattern their lives.
