It was New Year's Eve and many people had gone to church ending the year
2008 and embracing the New Year; 2009. One of the churches which was the
place to be in New York was; Holy Fire Dynamic Word International Church
located at 1111 East Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY under its powerful Overseer;
Pastor and his wife; Rev. & Mrs Eric Kofi Owusu. The sanctuar was packed
with many families.
There was a testimony from one of the members who offered thanks to God for
being alive to see a New Year coming. She had been diagnosed with cancer
and started losing her hair. Fearing of dying, this beautiful young woman
heard about the ALL night service and decided to attend.
The man of God called her to the alter and asked the church to pray for
her. Prophet Owusu prophesied that she will be cured and she will never
die of cancer in the name of the Lord of Amighty and what the Lord has
declared shall surely come true. The young woman said when she had gone to
see the doctor for a later check up, the doctor said, the cancer had
disappeared and nothing has been found in her body.
Prophet Owusu also "crossed the Jordan" river with the church. In a
symbolic way of moving forward with faith and changing of destiny, Prophet
Owusu held the hand of each member of the congregation to cross the line.
He stood in a bowl of water next to a long white line symbolizing the
crossing of the Jordan river. He blessed the congregation, prayed for women
who are barren to give birth, long life, good health, wealth, job, change of
immigration status, good business, good marriage and blessings for mother
Ghana. Prophet Eric later drank wine and milk with the congregation.
Holy Fire Dynamic Word International church is known for organizing an all
night service every friday night; 10pm-3am where the man of God offers
accurate prophetic ministration. Those who had attended the service had
attested how God was using hisr servant mightily and dubbed the service "No
gimmicks". The man of God encourages all including "doubters" to attend the
service every Friday night and see that truly this is "No gimmicks", just
God using his servant to do his work. He says whatever problem that anyone
face, he urges them to come to the all night service and see the power of
God - "No gimmicks".
