The Ghana Association of California in conjunction with Okwahuman
Friendship Society, Ewe Habobo of Southern California, Northern Alliance,
Mfantseman-Kuw,Ga Adangbe Association, Awutu-Effutu &Friends Association, Asante
Cultural Society and the Zongo Community of Southern California, organized a
memorable Xmas party for Ghanaians and friends of Ghana at the luxurious
Radisson Hotel to mark the Yuletide. The event brought to most attendees
nostalgic memories of their beloved country, Ghana, as the D.J blasted off
the speakers selections of popular Ghanaian music.
Officers of the Ghanaian Association are ; Professor Derek
Akrofi,President;Joe Manu (Wofa Yaw) ,Vice President;Kwabena Adusei, Scecretary; Joselyn
Nkansah,Assistant-Secretary and Rev. Thomas M.Boadi, Treasurer! Special
Advisor to the Association is Uncle John Dadzie.
The organizers and revelers agreed on one thing after the event, to
continue with the annual party because it brings members of the Strong Ghanaian
community here together to mingle and camaraderie with friends and
